She is the youngest child of three siblings, her brother Mirsad Türkcan
is an NBA basketball player and her sister is a psychologist. Her father
Doctor Nusret Bey is a cardiologist, and her mother Doctor Seniya Hanım
is a pediatric. Her father died when she was 11 years old.
When she was child, she wanted to become an architect, but because of
the great talent in singing makes her a singer now.
To continue her studies, Emina is currently studying Cultural Management
at the Braća Karić University in Belgrade.
She was married with Mustafa Sandal on 13 January 2008 and now given a
son named Yaman who was born on 8 August 2008.
Just like her husband, Emina's singing talent already seen during
childhood, at the age of 7 she has been Enrolled in Steven Mokarnjac's
Music School in Classical Guitar class, and at the school she followed a
variety of musical activities, choirs and theater, including singing and
dancing.
The famous Bosnian singer and songwriter Dino Merlin found her talent
after Emina won the youth festival "Zlatna staza" (Golden Path) in
Montenegro in 2000, and has become the way for her to be famous singers
today.
Beside singing, she also became a model of the Kara Fashion, and now
increased to became an actor in the TV series "Lâle Devri" who played
from September, 2010 to January, 2011 in Turkey.
Many said that she looked like Penelope Cruz, where he was often
mistaken for that Hollywood actress.
